In a bizarre collaboration that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
